Is the hiking season really over when the first snow falls? No, because hiking through a deep snow-covered winter landscape is a great experience for both young and old. Put your warm snow boots on and take a walk on winter hiking trail to admire snow-covered meadows and trees along your way. The cold air colors your nose and cheeks while the snow crunches under your feet. At the end of the day, many huts and inns provide a chance to warm up with hearty meals or sweet treats.

Ski resorts in the Alps – where snow is guaranteed!

Zugspitze: With 2962 m the Zugspitze rises up into the sky. Due to its height the mountain does not only provide half of the year with good snow conditions, but also leaves the wintery fog behind in the valley. Island-like, the glacier ski resort sticks out of a sea of clouds and offers plenty of sun for all fans of winter sports.

Kaunertaler glacier: In the sparsely populated Kaunertal skiers will find one of Austria’s highest ski resorts and with it plenty of idyllic nature, delightful ski slopes on natural snow and almost a bit of isolation. The Weißseespitze – the valleys landmark – is always in sight.

Exciting adventures await you

You want to experience an exciting adventure vacation? To just spend time outside and to forget about your everyday life while having a lot of fun? In that case it is time for some active travelling, an excursion or a guided tour!

Winter Tours

As soon as the first snow crystals make their way towards earth they turn the landscape into a glittering Winter Wonderland. Even before Christmas the white splendor presents numerous possibilities of winter activities.

In ski resorts of the Alps and the low mountain ranges skiers and snowboarders go on adventurous tours through ice and snow. Freeriders and ski tourers enjoy the fresh powder and gripping firn. Cross-country skiers explore the landscape on classic or skating trails. But even off-track there is a lot to do: Relaxing snowshoe hikes provide opportunities for new landscape impressions. And after an eventful day of fast bobsleigh rides you can warm up at a comfortable hut with mulled wine and cozy fireplaces.
