The 3rd stage connects the mountain town of Marienberg with Olbernhau. The stage leads to 29.7 km with 293 meters of altitude along the ridge of the Ore Mountainsto the Saigerhütte. The checkpoint is directly opposite the hotel entrance.

According to legend, three Italian brothers discovered a rich silver deposit here. As a result, the local pit was named after them. With the impressive view of the mountain town of Marienberg, the next stop on the Stoneman Miriquidi Road, the 688-meter-high Drei-Brüder-Höhe is a popular destination today. Founded at the beginning of the 16th century due to rich silver finds, the influence of mining can still be felt everywhere in Marienberg. Numerous visitor mines, such as the Pferdegöpelauf the Rudolphschacht or the Gläserstolln, bear witness to the mining importance. From the city center, continue towards Pobershau, past the Böttcherfabrik. The wood goods factory now serves as a museum. The path now crosses the 768 meter high, wooded gold crown and leads along the German-Czech border along the Natzschung in the direction of Olbernhau.
