Der 6,8 km lange Rundweg um den Bostalsee findet seinen Ausgangspunkt an der Seeverwaltung und der Tourist-Information. Von dort geht es vorbei am Strandbad Bosen und der Fußballgolfanlage, vorbei am größten Biergarten Südwestdeutschlands und am Indoorspielplatz Bosiland in Richtung Eckelhausen. Am Ortsausgang Bosen liegt das Kunstzentrum Bosener Mühle, in dem jedes Jahr die unterschiedlichsten Kurse angeboten werden. Von Aquarell- und Ölmalerei, Keramik bis hin zu Schreib-Seminaren und Steinbildhauerei. Weiter geht es nach Gonnesweiler wo sich ein weiteres Strandbad befindet, das neben Schwimmen auch die Möglichkeit bietet zu surfen. Nach Passieren des Staudamms treffen wir auf 2 Skulpturen, die Teil der Skulpturenstraße zwischen St. Wendel und dem Bostalsee sind. Von hier sind es nur noch wenige Meter, bis man wieder zum Ausgangspunkt gelangt.

Der Seerundweg wurde nach dem deutschlandweit einheitlichen Kennzeichnungssystem "Reisen für Alle" zum Thema Barrierefreiheit zertifiziert. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, einen Rollstuhl in der Seeverwaltung kostenfrei auszuleihen um Menschen mit Mobilitätseinschränkung den Spaziergang um den Bostalsee zu erleichtern. (Bitte hierzu die Öffnungszeiten der Seeverwaltung/Tourist-Information beachten!)

  • At the lake administration/tourist information Sankt Wendeler Land (here starting point of the hiking trail) there are eight marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm). There are further parking spaces at Bosiland and at the dam.
  • The hiking trail has a total length of 6,8 km. It is a circular route.
  • The hiking trail is stepless.
  • The hiking trail is at least 260 cm wide and easy to walk on and drive on.
  • For bollards, the distance between the bollards is at least 123 cm.
  • The trail is mostly flat. In two sections there are inclines of more than 6%: at the Bosener Mühle it is 14% over 50 m and between the nature reserve and the tourist information it is 7.3% over 30 m (both descents, if the path is walked/traveled clockwise). 
  • The maximum cross inclination is 8% (at the Bosener Mühle).
  • Ground depressions running at right angles to the running direction (e.g. drainage channel) are maximum 40 cm wide.
  • There is seating available.
  • The hiking trail is marked out continuously.
  • The hiking trail is also marked for cyclists, skaters etc. or riders.
  • The hiking trail is car-free or almost car-free.
  • It is not necessary to cross a road travelled by motor vehicles.
  • There is an inclusion swing for wheelchair users at the playground near the recreation center. There are two lidos and numerous catering options at the lake.   • A wheelchair can be rented at the tourist information Sankt Wendeler Land.

  • The toilet door can be opened with a Euro-key.
  • The door is 97 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left of the toilet 150 cm x 58 cm and right of the toilet 63 cm x 58 cm.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
