The Großer Alpsee is the largest natural lake in the Allgäu in southern Germany and it is surrounded by meadows and forests, hills and mountains that blend together to form one of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. Along the trail there are several resting points and some rustic huts, which are worth stopping to discover some of the local gastronomy. At the end of the route,you will walk along side this beautiful lake. This walk is especially recommended in the summer, where you can enjoy the sun on the lawns and take a refreshing swim at the end.
