A trip to the Siedelalpe alpine hut and a panoramic view of the Alps
A lovely circular hiking route leading to an authentic alpine cabin as well as a unique panoramic view of the Alps as well as the two lakes of the town of Immanstadt
This itinerary is fantastic for those who love powerful landscapes and on the way also want to enjoy a light meal and a local atmosphere in an Alpine cabin (the name of the cabin in German: Siedelaple). In a relatively short walking distance you can reach a powerful panoramic view of the area from a great height. The walk along the route is relatively easy, but still includes a moderate ascent. Since it is a circular route, you can choose which direction to walk on the route (straight or right at the crossroads). The road that continues straight at the crossroads leads to a slightly steeper but shorter ascent, while the road that continues to the right offers a more moderate but longer ascent (this road can also be walked with prams from experience, but it must be taken into account that it is not paved and that it includes an ascent on the way up and a descent on the way back) . You can decide whether to walk the route in a circular way or go and return the same way. You can experience the peak of the view a few meters after the cabin, either on the path that continues beside it or on the path that goes up behind it. A great experience for those who want to experience a powerful landscape with not much effort.

Tips and hints
For walkers it is recommended to continue with the trail that goes up behind the cabin to another higher viewpoint and from there descend a little towards another cabin (Jugt-Alpe) from which there is a view to the other side of the valley, there are nice reclining benches as well as animals and a children's playground. This cabin is usually less crowded with visitors.

Turn-by-turn directions
Park the car in the neat gravel parking lot (note that the parking lot is for a fee and there is a grinder on site) and walk along the path into the forest. Continue straight until you reach a crossroads where you can decide whether to continue going straight or turn right - both roads will lead you to the same destination.
Here are the two options:
1. Continue walking straight, here you will have a relatively short ascent but with a relatively steep slope as well as walking on tree roots (the road is not accessible for strollers), at the end of the ascent you must turn right and simply continue along the path until you reach the cabin.
2. Turn right to the path and go up longer but less steep (this road is not paved but relatively accessible to strollers with large wheels). Keep walking along the path until you reach the cabin. Towards the end of the path it forks a little to the right, you must continue with it straight towards the cabin which you can already see from this point.
Even a person who is not very fit can go up the route. Of the two listed ways, the first way is slightly more beautiful than the second and ends with the ascent faster, but as mentioned you can walk one of the ways going up and the other way back or one of them both going up and coming back.
After arriving at the cabin, it is recommended to continue a little along the path parallel to it in order to enjoy the peak of the view on the mountains as well as the lakes. Just before returning back, you can enjoy a light meal and a cold, fresh beer in the cabin where tables are scattered looking towards the view.

Getting there
Set the navigation device to the Schlettermoos parking lot.Parking
A dirt parking lot called Schlettermoos is near the start of the track. This parking lot is paid for using small change in the meter. From experience, reports are given instead to those who do not pay.Coordinates
